Rep. Marcy Kaptur welcomed Vice President Joe Biden to Northwest Ohio and during a private meeting asked the Obama Administration to release funds under the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program.
 
June 17: Helping Local Governments Prepare for and Respond to Disasters, Terrorism
The Toledo area (Lucas, Wood, Fulton and Ottawa counties) will receive $2,287,600 in federal awards to strengthen emergency preparedness, Congresswoman Kaptur announced, while the city of Toledo will receive $321,221 for medical response.
